So they keep renting. And eventually, they stop looking.
What this section is doing
The opening should create curiosity, tension, and emotional relevance. It should feel like the article understands what the reader is already thinking.
But what if the problem isn’t just the payment?
What if the real issue is the way people are thinking about the decision?
There’s a strategy called house hacking. You buy a property, live in part of it, and rent out the rest. That rental income can offset a meaningful portion of the monthly housing cost.
What this section is doing
The middle of the article should reframe the problem, explain the concept simply, and use one example or scenario to create a “wait a second…” moment.
That doesn’t mean it works for everyone.
But it does mean this: you might not be able to afford a home the traditional way… and still be able to afford one.
